Osun 2026: Former APC lawmakers endorse Bola Oyebamiji’s candidature

In what appears positive momentums as the former legislators in the state unanimously endorsed the candidature of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, as APC governorship candidate for the forthcoming 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun state.

Oyebamiji is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA.

The former lawmakers, numbering over 50 members across the 26 State Constituencies in Osun threw their weights behind the Ikire-born technocrat and politician.

The former legislators disclosed their support for Oyebamiji at an interactive section held with him held at Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Osogbo.

Speaking intermittently, the former members of the parliament affirmed their unflinching support for the gubernatorial aspirant.

They described Oyebamiji as a round peg in a round hole in whom they are pleased to run for the coveted position come 2026.

The immediate past speaker, Hon. Timothy Owoeye stated the lawmakers’ readiness and determination to work vigorously for the actualization of Oyebamiji’s ambition in the next governorship election.

According to him, the lawmakers are irrevocably committed to AMBO movement and ready to rally support for him before, during and after the gubernatorial election.

The meetings had in attendance former lawmakers from the 1st Assembly to 7th Assembly in the state.
