Ramadan: BABS Urges Prayers for Leaders, Nation, and Support for the Needy

As Muslims commence the sacred month of Ramadan, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Alhaji Bello Adegboyega Basheer (BABS), has called on the faithful to use the holy period for fervent prayers for the nation and its leaders while also extending kindness to the less privileged.

In a statement personally signed by him, the immediate past Managing Director of the Osun Public Procurement Agency emphasized that Ramadan is a divine opportunity for spiritual renewal, unity, and national intercession. He urged Muslims to embrace the season with devotion, self-discipline, and acts of charity, noting that the progress of the country depends on collective prayers and good governance.

“Ramadan is not just about fasting; it is a time for deep reflection, sacrifice, and total submission to the will of Allah. As we engage in prayers, let us remember our leaders at all levels, seeking divine wisdom for them to steer the affairs of our nation with justice, equity, and sincerity,” BABS stated.

He further stressed the importance of demonstrating love and kindness, particularly to the less privileged, as part of the essence of Ramadan. He called on wealthy individuals and community leaders to support the needy, ensuring that everyone partakes in the blessings of the holy month.

“As we abstain from food and drink, let us also purify our hearts, promote peace, and contribute positively to our communities. May Allah accept our fast, forgive our shortcomings, and strengthen us throughout this sacred month,” he added.

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a blessed Ramadan, praying for divine grace and abundant blessings upon them and their families.

Ramadan Mubarak!
