As the Osun State governorship elections draw nearer, the call for impactful and purposeful leadership has never been this loud. It is an open secret that within the league of developed states, Osun takes the back seat, and the last two and a half years have been marked by poor handling of our state’s human, financial, and mineral resources. Osun is at a critical point where governance and quality service delivery are at their lowest; charismatic leadership is obviously missing while economic growth has become a mirage.
There is no gainsaying that what the state critically desires is selfless leadership through a leader who understands the volume of socio-economic potentials the state possesses.
It is evident that Osun is blessed in abundance with both human and mineral resources; the state therefore has no reason to be in the backwoods of development and growth.
Osun, a fortress for the progressives until recently, deserves to be reconnected to the national power bloc in order to key into the developmental agenda of the federal government and ensure strategic alignment for growth and economic stability. Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, a seasoned banker, humanist, economist, and public administrator of repute, remains the best option for the state. His extensive and valuable experience in banking, finance, and public administration positions him as the best man to drive the needed change that Osun desires. His track record of success in previous offices as MD/CEO of OSICOL, the business enterprise of the state government from 2011 to 2017, where he turned around the inflow of the company from a meager ₦300 million to over ₦3 billion yearly, and his roles in ensuring that the state returned to full payment of salaries while he served as the state’s finance commissioner, are testaments that Oyebamiji understands the yearnings of the state and its citizenry.
I believe that Oyebamiji’s leadership will bring about a new era of growth, economic prosperity, and communal peace. I am also convinced that his candidacy will foster unity within our party and guarantee electoral victory in the 2026 governorship elections.
There is no denying that Asiwaju Oyebamiji is a lover of education, given the number of children and youth in his scholarship program from primary to university level, coupled with his impactful interministerial inputs, which have helped restore the lost identity of education in Osun and returned the state to the globally recognized 6-3-3-4 system of education. With Asiwaju Oyebamiji’s candidacy, I am optimistic that education in Osun will receive the deserved budgetary allocation, which will improve the standard of education in our dear state and place the state among the top 10 for best results in external examinations.
To this end, after thorough consultations with the major stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress in Ede land and Osun State at large, with the best interest of our dear Osun State at heart and my desire to ensure its human and economic prosperity, I throw my full weight behind Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) to clinch the governorship ticket of our party, All Progressives Congress (APC), and fly its flag as our standard bearer in the Osun governorship elections in 2026.
A man of impeccable character, academic and professional credentials, a thoroughbred progressive, and a man with unassailable grassroots connections, I believe that Balogun Oyebamiji embodies the attributes of a leader that Osun critically desires at this time.
I therefore urge our leaders Chief Bisi Akande, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola CON, and every stakeholder who desires to see the prosperity of Osun and thirsts for her greatness to look in the direction of Balogun Oyebamiji to fly the flag of our party in next year’s gubernatorial elections; this is our pathway to victory.
God Bless Ede Land!
God Bless Osun State!!
God Bless FRN!!!
