In a decisive move to sanitize land ownership and prevent future disputes, the Royal Palace of Eko-Ende has issued a final invitation to all individuals and corporate organizations who purchased landed properties—especially those from royal families—to verify the authenticity of their documents.
In a press statement released by the Secretary to the Committee on Landed Properties, Mr. Tajudeen Lawal, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulWaheed Babatunde Adekunle, FCA (Ayunawa IV), the Elende of Eko-Ende land, alongside the two ruling houses, has called for a verification exercise to confirm rightful ownership of undeveloped lands in the community.
According to the release, all affected landowners are expected to schedule a meeting with the committee between Monday, July 7 and Monday, July 28, 2025, by contacting any of the following numbers: 0805 114 5701, 0705 312 1876, 0806 002 1215, or 0805 459 3873. The announcement has also been published in the Punch Newspaper of July 7, 2025, for wider reach and formal notice.
“This is the final invitation and opportunity for purchasers to authenticate their property documents. Any land not verified within the stipulated period may be forfeited,” the committee warned.
The palace emphasized that the move is in the interest of peace, transparency, and orderly development, urging all stakeholders to take this final chance seriously.
