BABS Declares Odo-Otin Ready for AMBO, Says Osun Needs Financially Savvy Leader in 2026

Bello Adegboyega Basheer (BABS), a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, and the immediate past Managing Director of the Osun Public Procurement Agency, has expressed confidence that Odo-Otin Local Government is firmly positioned to deliver victory for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) in the 2026 governorship election.

Speaking during AMBO’s visit to Odo-Otin, BABS described the area as a long-standing progressive stronghold, saying the warm reception and large turnout at the rally were clear signs of the people’s readiness to support the APC.

“The local government has always been a progressive one, and with AMBO as our likely flagbearer, the coast is clear to deliver Odo-Otin for him. The mammoth crowd that welcomed him shows that the structure is in place, and by God’s grace, we are set to deliver the local government for our party in 2026,” BABS said.

Addressing the array of aspirants vying for the APC ticket, BABS stressed the importance of competence and financial expertise in steering Osun State out of its current economic challenges.

“We have a rudderless economy with no tangible achievements or foreign investment in the last three years. Osun needs a leader who understands the state’s financial architecture and can turn things around. AMBO has the proven capacity and experience to restore our economic fortunes. This is not about others being unqualified; it’s about who has the edge at this crucial time,” he stated.

BABS noted that while any APC candidate could defeat the incumbent governor, AMBO stands out for his deep knowledge of Osun’s financial workings and his track record in economic management.

“We are supporting him not out of sentiment, but because the state needs a leader with both technical and financial acumen to chart a new course. In that regard, no one else comes close to AMBO,” he concluded.
