Operatives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested one Ismail Damilare, popularly known as Killer, a suspected member of a notorious cult group and alleged Personal Assistant to the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State.
The suspect, aged 22, was apprehended on Saturday evening, October 19, 2025, at about 7:00 p.m. by officers on township patrol along Akede area, Oke-Baale, Osogbo, following a distress call from residents who reported that some armed hoodlums were terrorizing the neighborhood.
According to police sources, the patrol team swiftly moved to the scene, where Damilare was arrested while others fled. Items recovered from the suspect include two locally-made cut-to-size pistols, six live cartridges, and various criminal charms.
The Osun State Police Command has confirmed that investigations are ongoing, while surveillance efforts have been intensified to apprehend his fleeing accomplices.
The command, through the Anti-Cultism Squad, assured residents of continued efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and maintain peace and security across all communities.
