Hon. Ayodeji Abdulahi Olaiya (Ayonic) has congratulated the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, as well as the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Kingdom, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, JP, and all sons and daughters of Iragbiji on the successful celebration of Iragbiji Day 2025.
In a goodwill message, Ayonic, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osogbo Local Government, described the annual event as more than a cultural festival, noting that it serves as a powerful reminder of the town’s shared history, rich traditions, and deep-rooted unity.
He noted that the celebration provides a platform to honour the courage and contributions of Iragbiji indigenes at home and in the diaspora, while also reinforcing a collective commitment to development, harmony, and progress.
Ayonic praised Oba Olabomi and the entire Iragbiji community for sustaining the cultural heritage of the ancient town, lauding their resilience, hospitality and unwavering dedication to preserving its legacy.
The APC stalwart and youth advocate also extolled the leadership qualities of the former governor of Osun State and now Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, describing him as the pride of Iragbiji whose presence and influence continue to add glamour and colour to the celebration each year.
“Iragbiji Day beautifully showcases the town’s vibrant culture, warm spirit and unique ambience,” he said, expressing admiration for the event’s organisation and turnout.
He extended heartfelt prayers for continued peace, prosperity and divine blessings upon all Iragbiji families and Osun State as a whole.
“I once again congratulate the illustrious sons and daughters of Iragbiji,” Olaiya added. “May the celebration continue to foster unity and greater development.”
