Having spent an extensive 26 years immersed in the intricate dynamics of this political game, I have developed a keen understanding of the distinctive and often nuanced style that progressive leadership employs when it comes to selecting the individual deemed worthy to wear the metaphorical crown of leadership.

This selection process holds a profound significance for the leadership committed to progressive ideals. Though it may not align with the latest fashion trends from the viewpoint of casual observers who are swayed by propagandas and fail to grasp the true fervour of progressives.

To the leadership of progressives, this method of selection is not merely an aesthetic choice; rather, it encapsulates what they refer to as a rigorous “quality control” system designed to ensure that only the most capable and well-suited individuals ascend to positions of prominence and influence.

Even if one were to voice strong criticism of the progressive approach, labeling it as outdated or a lamentable tactic that undermines those outclassed by such stylistic decisions, an undeniable truth persists: within the realm of progressive thought, quality invariably shines through in every individual they choose to elevate and promote through their influential platform.

The leadership within the progressive movement prioritizes the ability to confidently vouch for the merit and capability of those who rise to the occasion, ensuring that the very best of talent in all ramifications of human endeavours is recognized and celebrated, even while they navigate the murky waters of potential repercussions that may arise from their decisions.

This is the profound lesson I’ve absorbed and understood over the course of three decades spent closely observing the actions and philosophies of progressive leaders.
