A prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Alhaji Bello Adegboyega Basheer (BABS), has described elder statesman Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun as a “moral compass and father beyond politics” as he marked his 91st birthday.
In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, BABS said Oyedokun’s political journey has consistently been driven by the progress of Nigeria, the development of Osun State, and the advancement of Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency.
He particularly commended the nonagenarian’s enduring commitment to the growth of Odo-Otin Local Government and Inisa, noting that his decades of service have left indelible marks on the political and socio-economic landscape of the area.
According to BABS, baba Oyedokun represents a rare generation of leaders whose politics is defined by sacrifice, courage and steadfast belief in progressive ideals rather than personal ambition. He added that the elder statesman has remained calm and principled through different political seasons, offering guidance and mentorship to younger leaders.
BABS expressed gratitude for what he described as Baba Oyedokun’s unwavering counsel, consistency in the progressive movement and commitment to unity within the constituency, Osun State and the country at large.
He prayed for continued good health, peace and strength for the 91-year-old leader, describing his life as a blessing and his legacy as enduring.
