Ex-Deputy Governor’s Aide, Kola Orolade, Declares Assembly Bid, Unveils Agenda for Inclusive Governance

Hon. Kola Orolade, who served as an aide to former Deputy Governor, Mr. Benedict Alabi, exited the Alabi political camp last year to throw his weight behind Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, who later emerged as the party’s candidate.

Declaring his intention to represent Irewole/Isokan State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Orolade called on constituents to embrace a renewed sense of purpose and collective responsibility in shaping the future of the constituency.

In hist statement released to the newsmen, he stressed that the time has come to demand purposeful leadership, credible representation, and a voice that genuinely reflects the needs and aspirations of the people. He noted that the constituency must no longer settle for less when it can collectively pursue and achieve better outcomes.

Orolade emphasized that representation in the State House of Assembly goes beyond occupying a seat, describing it as a call to service, dedication, and a firm commitment to upholding the trust of the people. According to him, effective leadership must ensure that every community, ward, and individual is heard, valued, and properly represented.

He further called on all stakeholders including youths, elders, and community leaders to unite behind a shared vision focused on progress, unity, and sustainable development.

Unveiling his agenda, Orolade pledged to prioritize effective and inclusive representation by ensuring that every voice counts, regardless of background. He also promised to promote transparency and accountability in governance, emphasizing openness in leadership, responsible management of public resources, and a system where leaders remain answerable to the people.

Seeking the support of his constituents ahead of the 2027 election, Orolade expressed confidence that, with collective effort and unwavering backing, the constituency could achieve a more prosperous and people-oriented future.

He concluded with a call for unity, urging the people of Irewole/Isokan to stand together and take decisive steps toward securing lasting development for the constituency.
