Niniola Celebrates Akinwunmi, Says APC’s Strength Lies in Respect for Elders

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Protocol, Ambassador Issah Adedotun Niniola has congratulated the Chairman of the Osun APC Elders Council (Igbimo Agba), Engr. Sola Akinwunmi, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as one of the steady hands holding the party together.

In his message, Niniola said leaders like Akinwunmi are the reason the APC continues to stand firm while many other parties drift without direction. He noted that beyond titles, Baba represents experience, calm judgement, and the kind of leadership that doesn’t make noise but makes impact.

He stressed that Igbimo Agba is not just a ceremonial body but the backbone of progressive politics in Osun. According to him, the council serves as a place where wisdom moderates ambition and where decisions are guided by history, not emotions.

“APC cannot be like other parties that have no elders to defer to. That is why you see confusion and inconsistency in those places. In our party, there is a structure, there is guidance, and there are men who have paid their dues and earned the respect to speak when it matters,” he said.

Niniola added that Engr. Akinwunmi’s role over the years, especially as a former SSG and now as chairman of the elders council, continues to provide balance and direction for both young and old within the party.

He prayed for good health, strength, and many more years for the celebrant, noting that his presence remains invaluable to the unity and stability of the Osun APC.
