Niniola Mourns Alhaja Sidikat Abeke, Condoles APC National Secretary Over Mother’s Passing

Ambassador Issah Adedotun Niniola, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Protocol, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaja Sidikat Abeke Basiru, the beloved mother of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.

In a condolence message, Ambassador Niniola described the late matriarch’s passing as a painful loss not only to the Basiru family but also to all who were privileged to know her as a woman of faith, humility, and exemplary virtues.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Basiru, the entire Basiru family, friends, and loved ones, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“Losing a mother is one of life’s greatest trials. No matter one’s age or accomplishments, the vacuum created by the departure of a loving mother is difficult to fill. My thoughts and prayers are with my brother, Dr. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, and the entire family during this moment of grief,” Ambassador Niniola said.

He prayed that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives the shortcomings of the late Alhaja Sidikat Abeke Basiru, accepts her good deeds, widens and illuminates her grave, and grants her Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

Ambassador Niniola also urged the bereaved family to take solace in the remarkable life she lived, the values she imparted, and the enduring legacy she left behind, expressing confidence that her memory would continue to inspire generations.

“May Allah (SWT) comfort the family, grant them patience, and bless the soul of our dear mother with eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen,” he concluded.
