… AMBO Grassrooters inaugurate Ward and Unit Coordinators Across Ife North
As the governorship aspiration of the MD/CEO National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji continues to gather momentum across Osun State, the AMBO Grassrooters, a frontline support group comprising past and present Local Government Chairmen from 2017 till date continued their tour of local governments to sensitize party members, mobilize support for the aspiration of Oyebamiji and consult with leaders and members of the party.The group also inaugurated Wards and Unit Coordinators for the purpose of grassroot mobilization and door-to-door sensitization across the Local Government.
Hon.(Prince) Omolade Binuyo, in his welcome remarks lauded the group for a peaceful sensitization so far, devoid of hatred, blackmail and campaigns of calumny. He charged them to continue in this noble act as that is the pathway to success at the 2026 polls. He urged that everyone should respect the supremacy of the party, work for her unity and strengthen the party ahead of the forthcoming elections particularly Saturday August 8th,2026 Osun State gubernatorial election.
Elder Rufus Awotidoye Chairman of Party Chairmen in all the Local Governments including Area Councils,Osun State and Hon. Philip Adebiyi, Party Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ife North, in their separate remarks charged the newly inaugurated Wards and Unit Coordinator to exhibit the true virtues of an Omoluabi ethos by a way of promoting AMBO peacefully and restoring confidence in the minds of members in respect of unassailable integrity and credibility about Oyebamiji’s personality while shunning campaigns of calumny and hatred in our respective intra and interpersonal engagements.
Engr. Maaroof Ogundipe speaking on behalf of AMBO Grassrooters dispelled rumours that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji has distributed all elective positions and appointments, he noted that this is a cheap blackmail, political statement and propaganda aimed at discrediting the competence, credibility and capacity of AMBO. He revealed that while AMBO remains the most competent and capable aspirant for the APC, as he possess outstanding credentials, popularity and acceptability to lead Osun APC to landslide electoral victory in the 2026 governorship elections. He reiterated that the former two terms Commissioner for Finance in the state is a man with positive character,promise keeper and loyal party chieftain who had distinguished himself and contributed immensely to the achievements and good governance of the previous progressive governments, bringing on board his wealth of experience and expertise from the finance sector just as he is a reputable administrator who stabilized the Osun Investment Company Limited (OSICOL) and also turnaround the financial fortunes of the company. Ogundipe stated that Oyebamiji’s track record of achievements while he served in Osun as MD OSICOL, Finance Commissioner and now MD/CEO NIWA are reasons why the group adopted him as their candidate and the best man for the job considering combination of both private and public sectors wealth of experiences.
In the same vein, Hon. Hakeem Tokede, the Secretary of the group urged the leaders in Ife North to give their support to AMBO, a staunch party man who understands party workings,politics, good governance and also cares for the welfare of party members. He pleaded for the support of party faithfuls giving an assurance of AMBO commitment to their socio-economic development.
Hon. Adekunle Oloyede thanked party faithfuls and leaders for giving the group a warmth reception, he assured the good people of Osun State a brighter and better rewarding future with a promise that Oyebamiji would restore the lost glory of the state, revamp the economy of the state and set Osun on the path of financial re-engineering and economic prosperity for growth and sustainable development among comity of States.

Recall that the group had previously visited Ila, Irepodun, Orolu, Boripe, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Ede South, Irewole and Isokan Local Governments respectively where the group was received with enthusiasms especially promoting and propagating AMBO Brand as the most strategic and credible alternative for good governance, infrastructural renewal and human capital development.
