A prominent stakeholder and leading aspirant for the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifelodun, Boripe, and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, Hon. Bello Adegboyega Basheer (BABS), has commended the appointment of Hon. Oluwole Oke as the Director-General of the APC Campaign Council for the governorship ambition of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) ahead of the August 15, 2026 election in Osun State.
Describing the appointment as “a round peg in a round hole,” BABS expressed confidence in Oke’s capacity to effectively coordinate the campaign and deliver victory for the party.
In a statement personally signed on Tuesday, BABS also lauded the selection of Hon. Adebayo Adeleke (BANIK), Prince Dotun Babayemi, and Hon. Thomas Ogungbangbe as senatorial campaign leaders for Osun Central, Osun West, and Osun East, respectively. He described their appointments as well-deserved and strategic, noting that they possess the experience and grassroots connection required to mobilize support across the state.
According to him, “The Director-General and the senatorial leaders are well-suited for the task. They are seasoned grassroots politicians with commendable track records and the political resilience needed to deliver success.”
BABS further expressed confidence in the overall leadership structure of the APC campaign, assuring the people of Osun State of a purposeful and people-oriented government under Oyebamiji.
He added, “Osun State stands to benefit immensely from a government led by a visionary and astute leader like Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji. I am confident that the state will witness significant progress in economic development, agricultural productivity, industrialisation, education, and healthcare delivery when the APC returns to power.”
He concluded by urging party members and supporters to remain united and committed to achieving victory in the forthcoming governorship election.
